Goal Four, Initiative 1 of the Pathway to Success Strategic Plan seeks to expand the scale and scope of the Distinctive Programs initiative begun in 2007. Provost Maynard’s charge to the committee responsible for this goal was threefold:

  1. Evaluate existing programs of distinction and promise.

  2. Build a mechanism for further investment in selected programs from this group.

  3. Enable new programs of distinction and promise to be identified and supported.

The committee, in consultation with Provost Maynard and President Bradley, has developed a process by which $5 million with base funding potential will be available through 2015 to support innovative initiatives that substantially advance institutional distinction. This website describes the various elements of unbounded possibilities and why such an effort is important to the campus and for the communities we serve.
