Promising Scholars

Indiana State University has developed a strategic vision, “Fulfilling the Promise – The Path to Pre-Eminence,” which describes a pathway to become a university of choice for those in the Midwest and beyond. To fulfill this vision, we must recruit, retain, and foster the ongoing development of faculty with the potential to advance our goal of becoming the best university of our type in the Midwest.

The Promising Scholars program will support a maximum of 16 faculty with grants of up to $15,000 (a minimum of $5,000) to support and stimulate their research agendas consistent with the mission of their department, college, and the University.

The Promising Scholars Program supports:
