Emergency Information

If a student becomes ill or injures themselves at any time during the program, they should notify their leader immediately. This information will be relayed to the program director if needed.

During business hours, students will be taken to the Indiana State University Health Center if they require the attention of a medical professional. Students must have a copy of their Summer Honors medical form, their Indiana State University ID card, insurance card and the designated co-pay.

If a student is experiencing a medical emergency outside of regular business hours that requires immediate attention, either the director of the program or a professional staff member from the Office of Admissions will escort the student to Union Hospital. No exceptions will be made to the hospital students will be taken to regardless of insurance requirements.

The student’s emergency contact will be contacted as soon as possible. Indiana State University reserves the right to send a student home due to medical reasons.
