GH 101: Gen(der) Z: Sex, Gender, and Popular Culture

This course considers the changing landscape of gender, sex, and sexuality in the current moment. Students will gain an overview of contemporary conversations in gender and queer studies and apply that knowledge in the analysis and discussion of popular culture, current events, and their own lives as first year college students.

Instructor: Dr. Stephanie Alexander

Dr. Alexander is a Senior Instructor in the Department of English and a dual-affiliate faculty member in the Department of Gender Studies. She also serves campus-wide as the Faculty Fellow for Instructional tools. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Louisiana State University and has been a member of the faculty at Indiana State since 2014.
