What do you like most about being an Honors student?

I love that I get to connect with so many people across campus. There are so many honors students on campus and it is amazing meeting them. You all have a really unique connection and that is awesome!

Leadership and involvement at STATE:

I am deeply involved in campus. I am a member of the Honors Council, as well the National Student Speech-Language & Hearing Association.  I'm extremely involved in Baptist Collegiate Ministry, as well as a senator in the Student Government Association!

What advice do you have for incoming Honors students?

Don't be afraid to reach out to people and get involved; even if you think you may not fit in somewhere, try. You'll never know where you actually fit until you try it out! College is about discovering more about you, so step out of your comfort zone and explore the many opportunities on campus!
