Technology (B.A.S.)

The University offers an online bachelor of applied science (B.A.S.) in technology. This program is designed specifically for individuals who hold an associated of applied science (A.A.S.) and are now ready to further their education and careers.

The program includes a core of major courses that provide the solid foundation needed for professional management-oriented leadership positions. In addition, each student works with an advisor to complete a specialization customized to meet personal and career goals.

Areas of specialization include, but are not limited to, electronics engineering technology, human resource development, and mechanical engineering technology.

Students benefit from classes developed and taught by ISU faculty who have a diversity of specialties. All courses are offered online. On-campus visits are not required.

Building on the student's previous education and experience, the Technology Program provides the skills and knowledge required for professional management-oriented positions in a variety of technological fields.

Graduates are competent in supervision, workplace law, project management, communication, and team-building skills—plus possess in-depth knowledge in their areas of specializations.


The University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Students have many sources of financial support for their studies, including financial aid, work-study programs, veterans' benefits, and special scholarships for entering freshmen and transfer students.

In addition, the College of Technology offers a variety of scholarships and awards.
