NORTH CENTRAL ASSOCIATION (NCA) ACCREDITATION

Indiana State University has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) since 1915. The accreditation process has two primary goals: to ensure the quality of institutions of higher education and to promote continuous improvement.

ISU was last reviewed in 2010 and received re-accreditation for ten years.

SPECIALIZED ACCREDITATIONS

In addition to institutional accreditation conferred by the HLC, many of ISU’s educational programs are accredited by specialized agencies, such as discipline-based organizations and professional associations. RECENT ACCREDITATION NEWS:


University awarded 10-year re-accreditation

March 1 2011

Indiana State University has been re-accredited for a full 10-year period by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The action follows an 18-month self-study by the university's faculty, staff, administrators and students as well as a campus visit last fall by a nine-member evaluation team of faculty and administrators from other universities around the country. Read More...
