Gregory Goode

Greg Goode serves as the Executive Director of Government Relations.  In this role, Greg serves as the liaison with state, local and federal government officials to garner financial and programmatic support for the University.  Greg also serves as an advisor to the president on policy development and has major responsibilities related to the biennial budget process.  Prior to returning to Indiana State in 2012, he served as the Chief of Staff and Director of the Center for Health Policy and Leadership at Bastyr University.

Greg served at Indiana State in a similar role from 2001 to 2007 and was instrumental in securing approval for several major projects including the renovation of University Hall, the acquisition of the Terre Haute federal building, the development of the Cherry Street Multi-Nodal transportation Facilities and the creation of the Terre Haute Innovation Alliance.

In addition to his higher education experience, Greg has held key roles on the staff of former U.S. Representatives Steven Buyer, Brian Kerns and Ed Pease.  He has served on the boards of directors of Terre Haute Regional Hospital and the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and on the Indiana Chamber of Commerce federal policy taskforce.

Greg holds a bachelor's degree in political science and master's degree in history from Indiana State and is pursuing a Ph.D. in public policy and administration from Virginia Tech.  He currently serves on the board of trustees for Bastyr University and the board of directors for the integrative Healthcare Policy consortium.

Greg and his wife, Leslie, reside in Terre Haute with their son, Jackson.
