The international freshman application is for the applicant who is:
Seeking an undergraduate degree
Not a U.S. citizen (or U.S. permanent resident)
Has no prior enrollment at a U.S. college or university
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Due to the variety of educational systems throughout the world, applications are reviewed individually by Indiana State University. Consideration is given to academic potential, English language proficiency, and other evidence that the applicant has the potential for success in university studies.
REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS
Submit all application materials to the Office of Admissions (at right). Applicants normally receive a response within two weeks of all application materials, including:

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Application for admission
Complete and submit the online application.
2. Application fee: $25.00 (U.S.)
The application fee is payable by Visa, MasterCard, or check or international money order made payable to Indiana State University. Submit the application fee to the Office of Admissions, Indiana State University. Please note the application fee is non-refundable.
3. Official transcripts and credential evaluation
Submit official or school certified copies of all academic records (transcripts) to:

4. Demonstration of financial support
Financial support sufficient to cover a student's educational expenses for one (1) year must be demonstrated before the I-20 eligibility document is issued. See estimated expenses for amounts required.
All financial support documentation should be submitted to the Office of Admissions, Indiana State University.
Those applicants who are academically eligible yet fail to provide adequate financial documentation will receive a letter. In some cases, applicants may be requested to deposit funds in an account with Indiana State University's Controller's Office.
5. Demonstration of English Proficiency
Students must meet the English proficiency requirement by submitting official test scores or documentation of successful program completion from one of the following. For exceptions, see English proficiency exemptions.
Applicants who are not exempt must submit official scores that satisfy the following requirements to the Office of Admissions, Indiana State University. All scores should be reported from testing services directly to Indiana State University, institution code 1322.
NOTE:
1 Applicants whose TOEFL scores are more than two years old will need to retake the TOEFL test—and submit new scores. For details (or to schedule a TOEFL test), visit www.ets.org
2 Effective Fall 2013, required scores will be as follows: IELTS—6.0 (or higher); ELS—112 (or higher).

To expedite the receipt of I-20, please read these instructions.
DEADLINES
To ensure full consideration, application materials must be received before the following dates. Early application is encouraged.
Fall semester................... June 1
Spring semester............... December 1
First summer session......... May 1
Second summer session.... July 1
Applications received after these deadlines will be accepted and every attempt made to ensure consideration for the desired semester or term.
