Personal Campus Visits

 
The Office of Admissions will be happy to schedule your campus visit. Our admissions staff will arrange a visit, and tailor the day to meet your particular needs. High school students are encouraged to bring their families.
 

Summer Visiting Hours

Summer appointments are available May 10, 2013 through August 30, 2013 per the following schedule:

  • Monday-Friday:  Daily arrival times are scheduled for 9:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Daily tours are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Planning Your Visit

Summer visits include a group admissions appointment with an admission counselor who can answer all your questions on how to apply, deadlines, scholarship opportunities, majors available, housing, meal plans, and what you can be doing to prepare yourself for your first year in college.

You also will take a 75-minute walking tour of campus. You will see the library, classroom buildings, recreation center, and more. This is the opportunity to ask a current ISU student about campus activities, classroom experiences, and campus life.

Tips for Visiting

  • If you are unfamiliar with campus or the city of Terre Haute, allow plenty of time to get to campus—and remember that all time listed refer to Eastern Time.
     
  • Be sure to dress comfortably as you will be walking around campus.
     
  • Write down important information you receive during the meetings and campus tour (dates, names of faculty/staff, questions that come up after your meetings, etc.)
     
  • Come with a written list of questions. Our goal is to make sure you leave with all your questions answered.
