What Can I Expect at Sycamore Preview Day?
- Academic Sessions
These sessions will allow you to gather specific information that will be important in your college
selection process. Information regarding program requirements such as major requirements, minor
requirements, and elective requirements will be provided. Program accreditation information can
be provided to students who are interested.
- Financial Aid
This session will give you information on financing your education. Topics covered will include
the financial aid process, forms, deadlines, tuition payment program, and scholarships.
- Student Recreation Center
Our campus is home to a brand new 25 million dollar Student Recreation Center. This session will be
full of information about this new amenity, including facilities, equipment, cost, size, availability,
and more.
- Career Center
The Career Center is not just the place to visit when you are ready to find a job.
This campus resource can help you throughout your college career. Come to this special interest
session to find out how the Career Center can help you choose a major, search for available career
options within your major, find an internship, and more.
- Student Activities and Organizations
One of the biggest adjustments during your freshman year will be your classes. But what do you
do when you're not in class? This presentation from our Student Activities and Organizations staff
will give you some insight into what organizations are available and how to get involved so you
can make the most out of your college experience.
- Technology at ISU
Learn all about what the Office of Information Technology has to offer. Receive information
about the computer labs, help desk, laptop initiative, and more.
- ROTC Scholarships
This is your opportunity to meet with some of ISU's ROTC recruiters to discuss scholarships and
other opportunities that Indiana State University's ROTC programs have to offer.
- Residential Life
Life in the residence halls can be one of the most exciting parts of your college experience.
This session will explain all that Residential Life has to offer. Everything from living options
and meal plans to the exciting new programs for your first year experience will be covered in
this one-hour special interest session.
- Campus Tour
A campus tour guide will lead you on a walking tour of campus. You will be able to see many
facilities that Indiana State University has to offer. You will see the library, computer lab,
classroom buildings, athletic facilities, and more. This tour is designed to familiarize you with
the size and layout of our campus.
