Distinguished Alumni Award Nomination Procedure

Purpose
The purpose of the Distinguished Alumni Award is to provide recognition for the outstanding achievements of former students of Indiana State University.

Eligibility for Award

Only living alumni of Indiana State University (or Indiana State College, Indiana State Teachers College or Indiana State Normal School) are eligible. For purposes of definition, an alumnus/a is any person who was regularly enrolled in any department of Indiana State, and completed a degree.

The nominee should have been outstanding in his/her profession.

The nominee should have made significant contributions benefiting his/her community, state or nation.

The nominee should have exhibited interest in the University and/or the Alumni Association since leaving the campus.

Nature of the Award
The award shall consist of a plaque.

 

Nominations
Nominations may be submitted by:
Any department or faculty member of Indiana State University.
Alumni of Indiana State University.

All nominations must be in writing and should be accompanied by complete biographical information.

Regular nomination forms should be used and may be secured from the Office of Alumni Affairs, Indiana State University.

Nominations should be postmarked no later than March 31 to be considered for an award the following October.

All nominations should be addressed to: Chairman, Alumni Awards Committee, c/0 Director of Alumni Affairs, Indiana State University, Terre Haute, IN 47809.

Presentation of Awards
The Awards shall be presented during the activities at Homecoming.
