Amber Northam

Amber Northam received her undergraduate degree in athletic training from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA, in 2000, and her master’s in athletic training from San Jose State University in San Jose, CA, in 2004.  Her thesis, entitled Athletic Training Education:  Critical Thinking Through Case Scenarios, focused on the changes in athletic training education and the need to incorporate case scenarios into the curriculum.  Amber was an AT clinician for 7 years before turning to full time academia.  She serves as the clinical coordinator for the undergraduate program.  Her research interests focus on athletic training education, student clinical rotation outcomes/assessments and clinical case studies.
