Post-Professional Athletic Training Program - Graduate Education

Program Admission

Applications for students enrolling for Fall 2013 will be available October 1st through December 15th. Students should submit on-line applications and letters of recommendation before the December 15th, anticipate Skype interviews in January 2013, and an admission decision by February 2013.

Program Eligibility Criteria

Graduate from a CAATE accredited entry-level athletic training program and eligibility to take the BOC exam. Candidates from Canada will also require BOC certification.

A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or greater at the time of admission.

A combined Math and Verbal GRE score of excellence (used for Global Evaluation).

Application Process

  • Completion of both the Graduate Athletic Training and College of Graduate and Professional Studies application requirements.
    • Program application

      Online application - Please be prepared to provide basic educational information (colleges/universities attended, GPA, GRE etc.), a PDF version of your resume, and a PDF version of a writing sample from your most recent semester of undergraduate study.  Writing samples do not need to be lengthy, but an example of your writing abilities.  (Note:
      *ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MUST BE UPLOADED PDFs. No other format is permitted!):
    • Letters of Recommendation (2)

      Students should acquire one (1) letter of recommendation from an academician one (1) from a clinician. Letters can be addressed as follows:

    • Apply to the College of Graduate and Professional Studies
  •  We form a Graduate Admissions Committee composed on faculty, clinical supervisors, and current graduate students to review and evaluate applications.

  • We conduct on-line Skype interviews to save potential students time and money; however, we invite all students to visit campus to meet with faculty, view the campus and clinical sites, and the Terre Haute community throughout the application process.

  • Upon selection, the program director will contact students with offers for assistantships and tuition waivers.
