The former United Mine Workers Building located at 308 North 8th Street is currently being used as a home for the center. Purchased in 1993, it houses the offices and resources of programs relevant to African-American historical and contemporary culture.
The original building was located at 551 North 9th Street and was purchased by the University in 1970.
