Biography

Bruce Baumgartner, who graduated from Indiana State University in 1982, received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1993. Baumgartner earned distinction as a world class athlete and coach, and winner of two gold and one silver Olympic Medals in wrestling. At the time he received the DAA, Baumgartner was head wrestling coach at the University of Pennsylvania, Edinboro.
