Biography
Birch Bayh, Sr. received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1968. A 1917 graduate of the Indiana State Normal School, he was the first athletic director of his alma mater. Bayh also played an instrumental role in the establishment and organization of the Physical Education Department. He was recognized for his significant achievements and contributions in health and physical fitness.
