Biography
Dr. Isaac K. Beckes received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1964. Beckes earned a bachelor's degree in education from Indiana State Teachers College in 1935. He was recognized for his plans to develop a new campus and for bringing new programs to Vincennes University. Beckes also directed a nationwide program of the United Christian Youth movement. At the time of the award, Beckes was president of Vincennes University.
