Joseph Benti, a 1958 graduate of the Indiana State Teachers College, received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1969. His extraordinary professional successes included national prominence in the field of television news casting. At the time of receipt of the Distinguished Alumni Award, he was casting two programs CBS Morning News with Joseph Benti and CBS Midday News with Joseph Benti.
