Biography
Dr. Hester Beth Bland earned a two year certificate from Indiana State Normal College in 1927, and a bachelor of science degree in 1942. Bland received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1962 in recognition of her involvement with education regarding health, safety, and physical education on all levels. She was a consultant on health and physical education for the Indiana State Board of Health in 1962 at the time of her selection for the award.
