Photography - Graduate
The graduate Photography program at ISU stresses the creative and expressive use of the medium, and the advancement of technical knowledge and skills to encourage students toward their own visual identity. The photography area, located in Fairbanks Hall, occupies 2,500 square feet plus assigned private or semi-private studios. A professional black and white darkroom is furnished with a full range of equipment that will accommodate various photographic formats. Color darkrooms, a shooting studio and facilities for alternative processes such as digital photography are also available. The Photography program is close to the Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking studios, providing students with the exposure and encouragement to broaden the base of their personal photographic investigations.
