The photography program at Indiana State University stresses the creative, expressive use of the medium and the advancement of technical knowledge and skills to encourage students to find their own visual identity. The photography area, located in Fairbanks Hall, occupies 2,500 square feet. A professional black and white darkroom is furnished with a full range of equipment that accommodates various photographic formats. Color darkrooms, a shooting studio, and facilities for alternative processes complete the area. The photography program is adjacent to the painting and printmaking studios, providing students the opportunity to broaden the base of their personal photographic investigations.
