The ISU graduate
Wood program enables the student to pursue either wood sculpture
or studio furniture design in an open shop setting that is
conducive to individual exploration. In addition, graduate
students in the wood program are assigned individual studio
spaces adjacent to the wood shop area.
The 3,100 square feet of studio space in the Fine Arts West
building is well-equipped with power equipment, including
spindle sander, drill press, table saws, radial arm saw,
jointer, belt/disc sander, and planer. Numerous hand tools are
also part of the studio equipment.
