Painting from Permanent Art Collection to be featured at international exhibition

An oil painting from Indiana State University's Permanent Art Collection will be featured at an international exhibition in Belgium.

The 1935 painting "Smoke Stacks" by American artist Joseph Stella will be part of the historical exhibition at "MANIFESTA 9, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art" in Genk, Belgium.

The Indiana State University art department invites the public to view recent works by Masters of Fine Arts candidates and Master of Art candidate at exhibitions on display Nov. 7-22.

The exhibitions include a diversity of media, from monoprints and digital prints to audio, video and mixed media installations.
