Alliance for Servant Leadership
Mission
The Alliance for Servant-Leadership (ASL) is a learning community that
exists to provide opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and external
publics of Indiana State University to develop their servant-leadership
potential and to apply that potential in the service of personal and
organizational improvement. In addition, the ASL seeks to contribute
an expanding body of knowledge about the process of leadership and to
disseminate that knowledge for the benefit of individuals, organizations,
and the community, including: schools and colleges, governmental
agencies, and for-profit and not for-profit organizations.
Vision
As a Learning Community, the Alliance for Servant-Leadership aspires to
be an exemplary “university-community partnership” dedicated to the study
and application of the principles of servant-leadership.
The Alliance seeks to be known and admired for its:
- Commitment to the study and practice of servant-leadership
- Innovative opportunities for learning and service that reflect the
principles of servant-leadership
- Collaboration among its many “servant-partners” actively engaged in
learning and service
