INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - John McNichols, Track and Field Coordinator at Indiana State University, underwent a successful surgery for the removal of a tumor in his thoracic area at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis this morning.

The surgery lasted for approximately three hours. McNichols will be in critical care for at least 24 hours. No visitors will be allowed for at least 72 hours. Any well wishes can be sent to his home address at 4180 Miami Garden Road, Brazil, Indiana 47834.
