INDIANA STATE SECURES LEAGUE'S NO. 10 SEED; WILL FACE ILLINOIS STATE ON THURSDAY AT STATE FARM MVC TOURNAMENT

ST. LOUIS – The Indiana State Sycamores are the 10th seed in next week's State Farm MVC Tournament.

ISU will face off on Thursday, March 1 against No. 7 Illinois State, with the contest slated to tip-off beginning at 9:35 p.m. (ET) from the Scott Trade Center In St. Louis, Mo. ISU split with the Redbirds in the two regular season meetings between the two clubs. The Sycamores won 54-50 in Normal before falling 68-53 inside Hulman Center just over one week ago.

The victor of the Indiana State versus Illinois State match-up will play No. 2 Creighton on Friday, March 2 beginning at 7:05 p.m. (ET).

Southern Illinois captured the league's No. 1 seed, Creighton was second and Missouri State third. In fourth was Bradley, fifth was Northern Iowa and in sixth was Wichita State.

There was a three-way tie for seventh place between Illinois State, Evansville and Drake. The Redbirds won the tiebreaker via the league's points system. Evansville was eighth, while Drake finished ninth. Indiana State rounds out the seedings in 10th.
