PODOLSKI NAMED FIRST
TEAM ALL-MVC
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Indiana State forward Lauren
Podolski continues to earn accolades after being named first team
All-MVC for a third consecutive year. Podolski led the Sycamores
in all offensive categories during the year in a record-breaking
season.
During the 2006 campaign, “LP” tallied 25 points on
eights goals and nine assists, setting new single-season records
in each category. The performance raised her career totals to 61
points on 22 goals and 17 assist, setting new ISU career records
as well.
Podolski led a Sycamore attack that broke or tied every offensive
statistic with 88 points on 28 goals and 32 assists (previous records
were 27 goals, 24 assists and 78 points)
As a team, the Sycamores were awarded the inaugural MVC Fair Play
honor as the team in the Valley with the fewest cards during the
season.
