FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SYCAMORES INK FOUR TO NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Indiana State
head women's soccer coach Vernon Croft announced today (Feb. 7)
the signing of four student-athletes to national letters of
intent. All four will join the Sycamores in the fall.
Below is a complete biography of each student-athlete inked this
week:
Shannon Peery
Freshman
Peculiar, Mo./Raymore-Peculiar H.S.
Previous School: Member of the Kansas State Cup Championship
teams from 2001 until 2005 ... Won a total of five Kansas State Cup
Championships ... Starter and letter winner for two seasons ...
Named team's Most Valuable Offensive Player as both a junior and
senior ... Led the team in goals and assists her final two seasons
... Was a first team all-district selection twice ... Named
all-conference second team as a junior, while earning first team
status as a senior ... Was named Kansas City All-Metro Elite 11
Honorable Mention as a senior .. Member of the Missouri ODP '89
State Team from 2002 until 2004.
Ellen Gittemeier
Freshman
Overland Park, Kan./Saint Thomas Aquinas H.S.
Previous School: Top 10 nationally-ranked team in 2005 and 2006
... Team won the Kansas State Championship as both a junior and
senior, while taking runner-up honors as a sophomore ... Won the
MO-KAN Championship in 2004, 2005 and 2006 ... Champions of the St.
Louis Classic as well as the Eastern League ... Was a second team
member of the All-Eastern Kansas League as a senior ... Four year
varsity player ... Member of the Blue Valley SC Stars United.
Caitlin Noble

Previous School: Team won Kansas State Championship in 6A as a
sophomore ... Sunflower League Champions in 2004 ... Team captain as
a junior and senior ... Named to the 6A All-State First Team as a
senior ... Was an all-state second team selection in 2005, while
earning honorable mention all-state plaudits in 2004 ... A
three-time All-Sunflower League First Team honoree ... Two-time
All-Sun Girls Soccer and All-Olathe City selection ... Named First
Team All-Johnson County three times ... Named the 2006 Olathe East
6A Rookie of the Year ... In her career, tallied 45 goals and 29
assists ... Member of the KCFC Alliance Futuras for seven years ...

Casey Clark

Previous School: Lettered for three seasons at Saint Thomas

pair of state championships in 2005 and 2006 ... High School team
