At Lake Land College– Played two years at Lake Land for coach Denny Throneburg... While at Lake Land she amassed a .391 batting average... Earned First Team Region 24, and All-Region Tournament honors following the 2005-06 Season.

High School – Earned many awards while playing at Mattoon High School for coach Dave McDowell. In 2002, 2003 and 2004 her team was crowned IHSA Regional Champs... in 2003, 2004 they won the IHSA Sectional Championships.. Starwalts individual honors include recieveing IHSA Sweet Sixteen All-Area honors from the Mattoon Journal Gazette in 2003 and 2004... also in 2003 and 2004 earned All Big 12 honors and in 2004 was named to the ICA All-State Team... Set school records of (.498 OBP) and (.400 BA). Lettered in Softball (3) times, also lettered in Track (1), Cross Country (2), and basketball (1).
