Individual winners from 2005 who are returning for ISU are junior Myra Bess (60m hurdles), junior Laura Engle (mile) and senior Ebony White (weight throw) for the women. Senior Shanel Johnson, junior Santia Spight and sophomore Jillian Yorn also had strong showings as they all tied for second-place in the high jump.

On the men’s side, Indiana State had several individual winners including sophomore Jake Conn (pole vault), junior Paladin Jordan (triple jump), senior Jerry Clopton (60m), senior Nigel Bigbee (60m hurdles) and senior Vincent Mason (400m). The Sycamores dominated in the 3000m with the top six runners all from Indiana State with junior Jordan Fife leading the charge.

The meet with the Redbirds will be the second meet of the season for Indiana State after an impressive showing at the Eastern Illinois Early Bird Invitational in December. Both men and women claimed victory in Charleston with a 146-136 spread for the men and 150-104 spread for the women. Following Illinois State, ISU will take to the road again Jan. 21 when they travel to Bloomington, Indiana for the IU Quad Meet.
