SYCAMORE TRACK TEAMS COMPETE AT
TWO LOCATIONS
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State
University track and field teams will be competing at two different
locations this weekend with part of the team competing at the 98th
Drake Relays Thursday through Saturday while the rest of the squad
competes at the Butler Invitational in Indianapolis on Saturday.
Four individuals and four relays from the ISU
women’s track team have been invited to compete at the Drake Relays.
Dani Prince will compete in the 5000 meters, Kylie Hutson in the
pole vault, Janae Bridges in the long jump and Erica Moore in the
400 meter hurdles. In addition, the 4x100 relay team, 4x400 relay
team, 4x200 relay team and the 4x100 shuttle hurdle relay team have
also been invited to compete.
Ten individuals and eight relays have been
invited from the men’s team. Justin Kunz will compete in the 5000
meters, Paladin Jordan will compete in the 110 meter hurdles and 400
meter hurdles, Jason Carruthers in the discus and hammer throw, Curt
Sutherland and Brandon Youngdale will compete in the high jump, Kyle
Walsh in the 3000 meter steeplechase, Sean Bowman in the 1500 meters
and Corey Dowden in the triple jump.
In addition, the 4x100 relay team, 4x1600 relay
team, 4x400 relay team, 4x200 relay team, 4x800 relay team, 4x110
shuttle hurdle relay, 1600 spring medley and the distance medley
relay team have been invited to compete.
The rest of the team will compete at the Stan
Lyons Invitational in Indianapolis, hosted by Butler University, on
Saturday.
This weekend’s activities will be followed by
the Billy Hayes Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana, on May 4 with
the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships slated for May
10-12 at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. |
