ELIGIBILITY:
All young men and women in the 6th through 12th grade (school year 2006-2007) who want to become better track and field athletes. 

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:
Check-in will be Tuesday, June 12th between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon in the Hulman Memorial Student Union Commons area. First session begins at 1:30 p.m. Check-out will be Thursday, June 14th following the early afternoon session (approximately 3:00 p.m.) 

RESIDENTIAL/DAY CAMPER FEES:
Resident camper fee is $265.00. This covers room & board, medical insurance, camp t-shirt, video tape and all instruction. A registration deposit of $100.00 must accompany your application. The balance is due at check-in. Day camper fee is $215.00. This covers noon and evening meal, medical insurance, camp t-shirt, video tape and all instruction. A registration deposit of $50.00 must accompany your application. The balance is due at check-in. Coaches interested in attending, please contact Angela Martin (812) 237-4165. 

TO ENROLL:
Fill out your application and return it with your check payable to: Angela Martin, HIGH JUMP CAMP. Detailed camp schedule, parental release form and medical release form will be sent following the receipt of your application.

TRANSPORTATION:
Jumpers must provide their own transportation to and from camp. Pole vaulters must provide their own poles

Angela Martin - Indiana State Assistant Track and Field Coach - Men's and Women's Combined Events Coach - Men's and Women's Long Sprints Coach

Angela Martin is in her 6th year as an Assistant Coach at Indiana State where she coaches the combined events and the long sprints.  As a Sycamore, Martin was a Junior All-American in the 400m hurdles and an All-American in the 800m run. She holds school records in six different events and narrowly missed making the 2001 Indoor World Championships team in the 800m. Martin also competed in the high jump. While at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, she coached the state's runner-up 400m runner, the 4x 800m relay team and a 5-foot-4-inch state qualifier in the high jump. In 20045, Martin coached her first NCAA indoor qualifier in the 400m. She has received her Level 1 coaching certificate.

Steve Smith
2 Time NCAA Runner Up in the High Jump
Former Missouri Valley Conference High Jump Champion
Steve Smith was one of the best jumpers in the United States for over a decade. While competing, he cleared of best of 7-foot-7. A camp veteran, Steve relates well to young athletes and is an excellent teacher. His experience as an international competitor (he was 7th in the 1995 World Indoor Championships and 2nd the same year in the PanAm Games) helps in relating to the campers. Steve is currently an academic advisor in the School of Education at the University of Indianapolis.

Jeff Martin
ISU Assistant Track and Field Coach
Men's and Women's Long Jump, Triple Jump, & Poloe Vault Coach
Jeff Martin is in his first year as an assistant coach at Indiana State University, where he coaches the horizontal jumps and the pole vault. Before returning to h is alma mater, Martin coached at Terre Haute South High School and Lawrence North High School. Under his tutelage, his athletes have set 14 school records, qualified for state 58 times, been named All State 20 times, captured 12 individual regional championships and 43 individual sectional championships. As a member of the Indiana State track team, Martin was a six-time All-MVC selection. Prior to Indiana State, Martin was an Indiana state champion at Warren Central High School.

Tony Mescall
All-American Pole Vaulter
Former Missouri Valley Conference Pole Vault Champion
Tony Mescall was one of the best pole vaulters in Indiana State University's history. He holds a personal best of 17-feet-8.75 which is still the ISU indoor school record. Tony has worked several camps and has also coached at his alma mater, Warren Central High School in Indianapolis. While at Warren Center, Tony caoched both mena nd women. His best jumper was a female 11-foot-3 state placer.

Additional staff members may include ISU student-athletes and area high school coaches if needed.
