Nick Wolf

1st Season

Nick Wolf begins his first season with Sycamore volleyball after joining the coaching staff in July 2005. Wolf will handle a wide variety of tasks covering all areas of the program.

Wolf has a wide variety of playing and coaching experience. Last year, Wolf was the assistant volleyball coach and the assistant men’s basketball coach at Ranger College in Texas. Prior to his stint at Ranger, Wolf was the assistant volleyball coach at Tarleton State, a NCAA Division II school in Stephenville, Texas.

Wolf began coaching in 1999 working with an eighth grade team at Saint Michaels. The next season he led the Premier Volleyball club of 15 and 16 year olds. From 2001 to 2003, Wolf worked as the varsity volleyball assistant coach at Findlay High School, and was the junior varsity head coach. During his tenure, his junior varsity team won the Great Lakes League title in 2003 and shared the conference title in 2002.

On the court, Wolf was a four-year captain for the varsity men’s volleyball team at the University of Findlay from 2000-03. He set school records for assists in a match (75), season (1,238) and career (4,196).

Wolf was selected to the 2002 D’Youville All-Tournament Team and the 2001 Mercyhurst College All-Tournament team. In addition, he led the Oilers to the gold medal at the 2002 Australia Down Under Games.

Wolf received his Bachelor’s degree from Findlay in May of 2003, as a technology management major.
