SYCAMORES FALL TO NORTHERN IOWA

Terre Haute, Ind. - - - On Friday night the Sycamores came up against a tough test in conference opponent Northern Iowa who earlier this season beat the Sycamores (0-3). Before the game Sycamore players honored their parents in the annual ISU Family Night.

The Sycamores battled mightily but fell to UNI in straight games (10-30, 18-30, and 20-30). The win moves UNI to a record of 23-7 (14-2 MVC) as they retain possession of First Place in the Missouri Valley Conference and the loss moves the Sycamore record to 5-22 (1-14 MVC).

The bright spot for the Sycamores was the play of Freshman Stacey Secrest as she recorded 2 kills with a .667 attack percentage, 24 sets, and 10 digs. The key player for UNI was Laura Rowen who recorded 18 kills with a .438 attack percentage, 7 digs, and 6 blocks.

Don’t forget that Sunday marks the last Sycamore home game this season and it is ISU Senior Day as the team honors its lone Senior, Stephanie Roof. The Sycamores meet up with Bradley for the contest and it will start at 1 pm (Eastern) in the ISU arena.
