SYCAMORES FALL (0-3) TO MISSOURI STATE

Springfield, Mo. - - - The Sycamores came into Fridays night’s match against the Missouri State Bears looking to avenge the (1-3) loss they suffered during the season previous meeting but despite their efforts fell to the Bears (0-3) who recorded their programs 1,000th victory.

The Sycamores could seemingly get nothing to go their way as they fell (15-30, 11-30, and 17-30) on their way to defeat. With the loss the Sycamores drop to 5-24 (1-16 MVC) and the Missouri State Bears move to 24-6 (14-3 MVC).

The key contributor for the Sycamores on the night was once again freshman standout Kelli Whitaker who tallied 7 kills with a .154 attack percentage to go along with 8 digs. The best performance for the Bears was put in by Katelyn Panzau who recorded 8 kills with a .667 attack percentage, 32 set assists, 3 service aces, 11 digs, and 3 blocks on the night.

The Sycamores are in action again tomorrow night as they face Wichita State in Wichita, Kan. for what will be the last match of the 2006-07 Sycamore Volleyball season. The match is set to start at 7 pm (Central).
