Clinical education is the application of knowledge and
skills, learned in classroom and laboratory settings, to actual practice
on patients under the supervision of an approved clinical instructor.
Clinical education is experiential learning and community engagement.
Clinical education includes active participation and problem solving
from the student. This is the best location to apply theory to
real-time clinical practice and for students to acquire and exercise
professional skills.
This website will aid current and prospective students, as well as
clinical instructors, in navigating through Clinical Education. Forms,
tutorials, applications, and resources will be posted here regularly to
aid in the swift communication of new and exciting changes in Athletic
Training Education at Indiana State University.
Students should read the
Policy and Procedure Handbook and sign the
Welcome page (page 3) at the beginning of each academic year. Students are expected to check
the website regularly for any changes because they are expected to
uphold the most updated version of the Handbook. (Handbook was last
updated 9/8/09.)
