Welcome to the Department of Baccalaureate Nursing at the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services. I hope you find your visit to our webpages helpful and informative.
Our mission is to develop students who are competent, caring nursing professionals, and productive citizens. Our nursing program is recognized for maintaining standards and criteria for educational quality by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and is fully accredited by the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
The national shortage of registered nurses means there continues to be a significant employment market for our graduates. Our department offers two different paths to earning a baccalaureate nursing degree: a standard 4-year program and an accelerated program for individuals with previous, non-nursing, degrees.
We pride ourselves with having a collegial, open-door environment where students and teaching come first. Our smaller class sizes make it possible for greater student support and more one-on-one interaction between faculty and students.
If you have unanswered questions or if you’d like meet with a faculty member feel free to contact us. Potential new students and their families are also encouraged to schedule a campus visit by contacting the Admissions Welcome Center.
Once again, welcome. All of us within the department look forward to serving you.
