Today my contemporary slavery class went to the Freedom Center in Cincinnati, OH. It was amazing!!! They have amazing short films, amazing exhibits, and this really neat genome floor. I tried to trace my family history, but I didn’t know enough facts to do so. No matter, it was still a really great place. It makes you think a lot about your life and what it may have been like if things didn’t change. It also brought to my attention the current problems in the world surrounding slavery. You would think that in this day and age slavery wouldn’t be around. Unfortunately it is. If you have a chance to go to the museum, please do. It’s an eye opening experience.
