The 2nd cohort of the Summer Academy for School Psychologists (SASP): Critical Skills for Tiered Systems of Prevention and Intervention attended a 2-day training at ISU in August. The training was led by Dr. Rebecca Martinez, Dr. Leah Nellis, and leaders from SASP Cohort 1 Participants. The 2-day training is the beginning of a year long series of professional development activities for Indiana school psychology practitioners, funded by a grant from IDOE, DEL and offered by the Blumberg Center.


   

Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities awarded the first annual Community Spirit Award to Indiana State University, Marlene Lu and other staff from Blumberg Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education, Cunningham Memorial Library, and Delta Sigma Omicron members. Indiana State University is being recognized for organizing an exemplary Disability Awareness campaign, “An Expansion of Perspectives”, a series of seven major events celebrating Awareness Month and involving the entire ISU campus and the Terre Haute community.
