Completes ALL 6 "Task for Completion and Discussion"
assignments. The learner is able to use the CATS model to
improve participation and travel activities for a student with
deafblindness and/or multiple disabilities. The learner
demonstrates understanding of the ideas involved in looking at
current and possible environments for travel opportunities; is
able to assess travel options using task and discrepancy
analysis techniques; can identify appropriate adaptations,
modifications and natural supports for a particular student;
and, can develop and implement a travel plan and assess progress
based on data collection.
Meets Expectation:
Completes four out of six "Task for Completion and Discussion"
assignments. The learner can summarize the ideas involved in
looking at current and possible environments for travel
opportunities; is able to assess travel options using task and
discrepancy analysis techniques; understands the differences in
adaptations, modifications and natural supports; and can develop
and implement a travel plan.
Below Expectation:
Completes less than four "Task for Completion and Discussion"
assignments. The learner can summarize the ideas involved in
looking at current and possible environments for travel
opportunities and can complete a task and discrepancy analysis.
The learner recognizes some adaptations, modifications and
natural supports and can develop a travel plan.
