In this program, M. Wade Wingler, Director of the Assistive Technology Center and the INDATA Project at Easter Seals Crossroads in Indianapolis, will address a wide variety of assistive technology topics that begin with an overview of how technology impacts the lives of people with disabilities, the laws that impact assistive technology and free assistive technology resources available in Indiana as well as throughout the United States. Hands-on components of this training will include iPad accessibility as well as exposure to more than 30 fascinating assistive technology devices. A brainstorming activity for employers of people with disabilities will be conducted as well as an introduction to basic web site/content accessibility tools and techniques.
