The Indiana Deafblind Services Project maintains a loan
library called the Resource Materials Center. This library has over 600 books,
videotapes and other items specific to children who have deafblindness
and/or other multiple disabilities. Materials are available for checkout
to Indiana residents only and cover a range of topic categories
including: Assessment, Communication, Curriculum, Early Childhood,
Employment, Family, Inclusion, Medical, Skills, Technology, and
Transition.
If you are interested in searching our library for information related
to deafblindness, you can use the keyword, subject, author and title
search options below. You also may browse all items in the library or
print any of the listings. Once you have found an item that you wish to
check out, check the appropriate box(es) and click on the "request
checkout" button. This will provide you with a screen showing the
item(s) that your are requesting and a form for you to fill in your name
and address. Once the form is completed simply hit "Checkout" and an
e-mail with your request will be sent to the project office.
The typical loan period is four weeks. If the item you would like to
request is listed as "not available", you may contact Sharon Bryan by
email at Sharon.Bryan@indstate.edu and indicate your interest. Your name will
be placed on a waiting list for the materials.

A small collection of books, video tapes, and documents have been
compiled in a
professional
library for use as a resource by our training teams and persons
completing the Blumberg Center's programs: Creative Problem Solving
(CPS), CPS for General Education Intervention (CPS for GEI),
Facilitated Individualized Education Programs (FIEP), and Targeted
Student Intervention (TSI).
While all of the books in the following list are available through
the professional library, many may be available at your local
library. Because a limited number of copies of the books and
materials are available for loan through the Blumberg Center
Library, a two-week check out period has been established, allowing
one additional week for a send/return period. A borrower may check
out a maximum of two books at any one time.
The books were purchased through grants from the Indiana Department
of Education, Center for Exceptional Learners. If materials are lost
or damaged, the borrower assumes responsibility for the full
replacement cost of the book. To borrow the books, you may contact:
Marlene Lu at 812-237-2842 or Email:
Marlene.Lu@indstate.edu.
