The purpose of Promoting Achievement for Students with Sensory
Loss (PASS) is to provide statewide support, technical
assistance and professional development opportunities for educators that
will improve instructional quality, promote academic achievement, and
foster successful post-secondary transition outcomes for students with
sensory loss.
This website was developed
especially for teachers, educational interpreters, paraprofessionals,
related service personnel, families, and administrators who serve students who
have sensory loss (including blind or low
vision; deaf or hard of hearing; or deafblind). Our goal is to connect you with materials and people to support
you in your important work. We will provide updates on inservice training
and distance education opportunities, listings of resources and other information on topics of
interest to you.
PASS is funded by the Indiana Department of Education, Division of
Student Learning, Office of Differentiated Learners and is located at the Blumberg Center
for Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education at Indiana State
University.
