  Robert Jones, Old National Bancorp

Robert G. Jones is the President and CEO of Old National Bancorp and a member of its board of directors. He assumed this position effective September 7, 2004. Prior to joining Old National, Jones served for 25 years at KeyCorp.

He is a 1979 Graduate of Ashland University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Business Administration.

Jones serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Board of Directors, where he serves as a member of its Executive Committee and Chairs the Audit Committee. 

He is very active in the community, by being named to the boards of the University of Evansville, Evansville Regional Business Council, The Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana, Evansville Day School, Deaconess Hospital, Riley Children’s Hospital, Evansville Police Foundation and Youth Resources of Southwestern Indiana.

Jones served on the ‘05/06 campaign cabinet for the Southwest Indiana United Way and was the Chair of that campaign in 2007. He was also a co-chair of the Hands on Discovery Children’s Museum capital campaign, chair of the 2007 March of Dimes Walk America, chair of the Ronald McDonald House Capital Campaign, chair of the Evansville ARC Capital Campaign, and twice he has chaired the Buffalo Trace Boy Scouts Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner and a member of the Campaign Cabinet of the Evansville Museum Capital Campaign and a member of the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation Superintendent’s Business Council.

In 2009, Jones was recognized by the University of Evansville’s Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity as its Leader of the Year, by the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns with its Larry A. Conrad Civic Service Award, and by Leadership Evansville with its Visionary Award. Jones was also honored in 2008 by the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce as its Richard A. Schlottman Business Leader of the Year. And, in 2006 Ashland University recognized Jones as its Alumni of the Year.

Jones' visit is part of Ethics Week on the ISU campus, and follows the 5th annual Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility Conference.
