Robert L. Finder, JR, CIMA, CIS
Bob Finder is the Managing Director of the Investment Management Consulting Group for Wells Fargo Advisors headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. Bob and his team of senior investment management consultants and portfolio specialists work closely with leading financial advisors throughout the country and internationally to develop advisory-based investment solutions for high net worth individuals, institutions, foundations and retirement funds. Before joining Wells Fargo in March, 2008, Bob was Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Wealth Management Solutions for Prudential Investments in Newark, New Jersey. He also served as the National Sales Manager for Managed Accounts.
Mahmoud M. Haddad
Dr. Haddad is a professor of Finance at the college of Business And Global Affairs, The University of Tennessee at Martin. He received a BA and MBA in Accounting from Minnesota State University, and Ph.D. in Finance from The University of Alabama. He taught finance at Wayne State University, The University of Tennessee at Martin, University of Alabama, Arab American University-Jenin, American University of Armenia, American University of Beirut, Al-Quds university, Eastern Michigan University and Minnesota State University. Dr. Haddad is certified in e-teaching and learning, he has broad experience in Distant and Online teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Dr. Haddad has published over 30 papers. His papers have been published in leading refereed journals. Dr. Haddad was the Financial and Accounting Manager at the American Family Insurance Co., the Executive Director of Research at the Palestinian Monetary Authority, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Dean of College of Business and Financial Sciences at Arab American University and a Research Scholar and Head of Economic and Social Studies Division at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research. He is the co-director of the UTM Tennessee Valley Authority Investment Challenge program and a UDAID visiting scholar and senior financial education consultant.
Kevin Hincks
Kevin Hincks is a senior specialist in the Trader Group at TD Ameritrade. Kevin answers a myriad of client questions – from equities, options and futures to the ins and outs of TD Ameritrade’s industry-leading trading platform, thinkorswim. He is also co-host of Swim Lessons, the weekly thinkorswim user show, and host of "The Options Hour" which can be found on the Tiger Financial News Network. Kevin has been trading on an exchange membership without interruption since January 1986 and previously owned and operated the original Designated Primary Market-Maker (DPM) for GE and Pepsico options on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). As a native Chicagoan, Kevin still actively trades Agriculture futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME)/Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).
Robert Langrick
Rob Langrick is the Head of Bloomberg Institute and designer of the Bloomberg Market Concepts module. He began his career as a banker at Morgan Stanley and an Equity Analyst at HSBC and Cazenove in London. He moved to the US in 2004 for business school and joined Bloomberg after three years as a Case Team Leader at Bain & Co in New York. He founded and wrote the business plan for Bloomberg Institute in 2009 and is a CFA charterholder.
Barbara MacLeod, CFA
Barbara MacLeod, CFA. John J. Joseph Professor of Economics and Chair, Department of Economics at Ohio Wesleyan University. After a career in corporate finance, banking and investments, MacLeod now teaches courses in finance and international business and is faculty advisor to the OWU Investment Club. For several years MacLeod helped to design the curriculum used in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program and was a grader of the CFA exams. She continues to work as a consultant, helping companies develop financial and strategic initiatives and serves on the Investment Advisory Council of Wealthstone Asset Management in Columbus, Ohio. In her free time MacLeod enjoys cycling, reading, and playing tennis.
Steve Martin
Steve has thirty-two years of Trust/Wealth Management experience with over twenty-four years of management experience varying from large regional commercial banks, an independent trust company and community banks. He assumed leadership of Trust Services in August 2014, bringing 30 years of diverse trust and wealth management experience to First Financial Bank. He received his bachelor’s degree in special studies from Cornell College in Iowa and his doctor of jurisprudence degree from Drake University Law School in Des Moines. He is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Trust School and National Graduate Trust School. He earned Certified Financial Planner accreditation through the College for Financial Planning.
Randall K. Minas, CFP
Randall K. Minas is a Financial Advisor and Executive Vice President at City Securities Corporation. Randy holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and has been in the financial services industry for over 37 years, specializing in managed money, municipal bonds, as well as implementation of estate planning strategies, financial, and retirement planning. Randy graduated cum laude from Indiana State in 1975 with a degree in management and a minor in accounting. He now serves the university as the President of the Board of Trustees. Through their generosity, Randy and his wife, Nancy, funded the Randall and Nancy Minas Financial Trading Lab in the University's Scott College of Business.
Elisha D. Porterfield, CFP
Elisha Davis Porterfield, CFP™, is a Financial Advisor with the Private Client Group of City Securities Corporation. Elisha has over 12 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in retirement & financial planning. In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Elisha holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 66, and 24 securities licenses, as well as her Indiana Life & Health Insurance license with a Long Term Care addition. Elisha graduated from Culver Academies and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is a resident of Valparaiso, Indiana, where she lives with her husband and serves on the Finance Committee for the Valparaiso First United Methodist Church and as the President of the Valparaiso chapter of Lions Clubs International.
Philip J. Roth, CMT
Phil Roth, Vice President of MTA Educational Foundation and Adjunct Professor, Graduate School of Business, Fordham University, was formerly the Chief Technical Market Analyst at Miller Tabak & Co. He spent over 40 years as a Wall Street professional, having been the chief market technician at Morgan Stanley, Shearson Lehman, EF Hutton, and Loeb Rhodes. Phil is a former director of the New York Society of Security Analysts and long-time board member and past president of the Market Technicians Association and among the first recipients of the Chartered Market Technicians (CMT) designation.
He was voted No. 1 in Charting and Technical Analysis in the 2001 Reuters survey. He has regular appearances on CNBC for expert market opinion and frequent market opinions in the print media. Phil is an Adjunct Professor in Technical Analysis at Fordham University Graduate School of Business Administration; and has lectured at Baruch, Columbia, Cornell, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Tulane, Howard and the University of Richmond.
Shawn A Sabau, CFP
Shawn A. Sabau, Certified Financial Planner™ professional, is Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor with the Minas Sabau Group of City Securities Corporation. Shawn has over a fifteen years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in investment management, municipal bonds, retirement planning, implementation of estate planning strategies, and tax-efficient investing. In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Shawn holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses, as well as his Indiana Life Insurance license. He is a life-long resident of Crown Point, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree.
Brien Smith
Brien Smith is the dean of the Scott College of Business at Indiana State University. Dr. Smith has over twenty years of administrative experience in higher education, and has been dean of the Scott College since July of 2012.
Previously, Dr. Smith was associate dean for the Miller College of Business at Ball State University and has previously served as the chair for the Department of Marketing and Management, assistant to the dean for graduate programs, and vice chairperson of the Department of Management. He attained his PhD in industrial/organizational psychology in 1989 from Auburn University.
In his 20 years of leadership experience in higher education, Dr. Smith has actively participated in university governance, having served as senate chair (twice) and faculty council chair in the Ball State University Senate. He has published numerous articles in refereed proceedings and journals, and has delivered presentations and speeches at national and international conferences. He is a coauthor of the current Ball State University Senate Constitution (Senate Reorganization Committee), teaches courses in human resource management, and was named the 1994-1995 Ball State University Teaching Professor (now known as the Excellence in Teaching Award).
Bill Stark
Bill started his formalized trading education in 2006 and continues it today. He has been a full time trader since 2009 after retiring from a career in Engineered Industrial Specialty Products solving problems and helping develop better processes. He brings this experience and analytical mindset to us in the form of his creation of Statistical Analysis which incorporates stock charts with statistical probabilities and confidence intervals. With the advent and increase of algorithmic trading based upon high probability levels where computers act in response to statistical data sets
Tarek Zaher
Tarek Zaher is a professor of Finance at Indiana State University. He has also held a number of professional positions with the industry and provided consulting services to a number of international institutions including the World Bank, the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan, and the Academy for Educational Development in the United States and the Ministry of Work in Dubai. He has also offered a number of seminars in investment and international financial management at a number of institutions around the world.
Dr. Zaher is the supervisor of the investment club at Indiana State University. He also manages and supervises other international portfolios for individuals and institutions. Dr. Zaher’s research has been published in numerous prestigious professional and scholarly journals, including the Journal of Financial Research and Journal of Banking and Finance. Dr. Zaher received three research awards from professional conferences and one research certificate of excellence. He was also recognized by the Scott College of Business as the winner of the faculty research award in 2002 and the winner of the exemplary service award in 2004.
