Criteria
- Must be student obtaining major or minor in marketing with an interest in a career in sales
- Additional consideration given to students enrolled in either the sales certificate programs (insurance sales or medical sales) or active in the related sales competitions through the Sales & Negotiations Center.

State Farm Companies have been a long-time supporter of the Scott College of Business, including support of the Meis Student Development Center, previously the Center for Student Professional Development, the insurance and risk management program and sales students, speakers series, and other special events. The sales scholarship was a new addition to State Farm's support in 2012.
