Criteria

  • Must be a full time junior or senior ISU student majoring in accounting
  • Must have minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Student works a minimum of 12 hours per week on average

Donor Profile

The Judy A. and Gary W. Schomer Scholarship was established in 1990 to provide financial assistance to Indiana State University students who have a declared major in accounting. Lifelong residents of Terre Haute and active in various community volunteer efforts, Judy and Gary Schomer have maintained their interest in and support of Indiana State University. Mr. Schomer graduated from ISU with a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1967 and received his MBA in 1968. Their daughter, Debra, graduated from ISU in 1996 with a degree in accounting and their son, Bill, received a degree in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Mr. Schomer's father, Dr. Wayne E. Schomer, retired from ISU as vice president of Development and Public Affairs.
