The John Thompson Moore Memorial Scholarship was established in 1994 by his wife, Lucile M. Moore, to honor his memory. Dr. Moore graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in history, a MBA in economics, and a DBA in marketing. He was a member of the ISU faculty from 1963 through 1968 in the Department of Marketing where he established a bureau of business research. Dr. Moore retired from Eastern Illinois University in 1987 and died in August 1993.
