What is a Career Opportunity Fair?

The Career Opportunity Fair is an opportunity for all students and alumni to engage with representatives from various organizations attending from locations across the country who are present to recruit for the following:  full-time positions, internship and job shadow opportunities, part-time and summer jobs and graduate and professional programs.

Those who are job or internship seekers can identify themselves as such, contact the representative from the organization they would like to learn more about, see what openings are available and/or arrange for an interview.

While an excellent experience for those seeking the above opportunities, attending the fairs is also beneficial for underclassmen, allowing them to make contacts with their career field and to learn what skills they can develop to make them more marketable.  The fair is the perfect chance for students to begin networking and practice developing interviewing and career preparation skills.  A wealth of other information may be gained by talking to the attending recruiters.
